Fernandez provided presence at the nose for Mira Mesa

Mira Mesa's Justin Fernandez was able to lead the interior of the defensive line this past fall.

The junior nose guard was fourth on the team with 90 total tackles last season. He also added a pair of sacks as well as a pass deflection and a fumble recovery.

Fernandez is currently listed at 6-foot, 281 pounds and runs a 6.17 40-yard dash with a 5.21 20-yard shuttle and a 17.3-inch vertical.

He averaged 8.2 tackles per game throughout 2011 while aiding the Marauders to a 5-5-1 overall record .
